Network Security Engineer, Full-Time, Hybrid/Bridgeton

Job DescriptionMAJOR FUNCTION:
The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the security infrastructure of the organization's computer network.
The engineer will design, implement, and monitor security measures to protect the network and its data from unauthorized access, cyber-attacks, and other security threats.
Qualifications:
Education &
Experience:
oBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
oAt least 5 years of experience in network security engineering.
oDirect hands-on experience with NAC solutions such as Clearpass or Cisco ISE.
oExperience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
Knowledge & Skills:
oStrong knowledge of network protocols and security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and VPNs.
oStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Position ResponsibilitiesoDesign and implement network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and virtual private networks (VPNs).
oMonitor and analyze network traffic for potential security breaches and take corrective actions.
oPerform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify network security weaknesses and develop mitigation strategies.
oDevelop and maintain network security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
oCollaborate with other IT teams to ensure network security is integrated into all aspects of the IT infrastructure.
oRespond to security incidents and provide support for remediation efforts.
